I can't install games or software. My computer restarts in the middle of the
installation and I get an error message that my computer has recovered from a
serious error. I do send a log as prompted and have followed the options
given. I even went as far as reinstalling my windows software but I keep
getting the same problem.

Will this be a hardware problem???

The specific, word by word error message would help me help you.

There are several things you can check here. The first, and most
obvious, would be for viral infections that are interupting the install
processes.

Next, check that you have the correct drivers for your motherboard
installed. Specifically your Chipset and IDE/SATA controllers.

Also, -immediately after such a crash- and before the system reboots
into windows, go into your system BIOS and check your PC Health.
Overheating can also cause such "random" restarts.

Have you overclocked your PC?

i know with xp you could shut that feature off the restart after th
system has a serious error......i think that vista should have the sam
thing im not really sure i haven't had the time to mess around and fin
out if it did but if you shut that off if vista has it i think it shoul
help you to get the game on your system.
