Can't install Media Player 11

I'm running Win XP Media Center Edition 2005 with WMP 10. Windows Update page
after scanning shows 0 updates for my computer. I downloaded WMP 11
separately, but can't install it - it requires Update Rollup 2 for Win XP
MCE.

Thank you Alex for letting us know that you cannot install WMP 11 on WinXP Media Center
Edition 2005 without Update Rollup 2 for Win XP.

Are you now going to install the required update (Update Rollup 2)?

I found the similar problem - when trying to repopulate a new HDD, I didn't
install WMP11 before having done the XP SP3 update, and now I get the same
error message despite being more recent than MCE2005 Rollup 2 (I suppose that
is new wording for SP2)
