It was insulting to me to say that I "did not have the expected version" for the install. Why did I pay all the money and registration time if it wasn't a valid license? Microsoft support after the sale is most disappointing!

All the help appreciated and I will certainly give this a try myself (in the
midst of a move atm and media packed away) but I wonder if MSFT realizes they
could've saved me months of frustration simply by prompting for the install
media as they always used to? Sorry, rhetorical question. : )

Cheers.

I also have the same problem. I had tried installing the update with the
original Office 2003 CD in the computer and received the same failure. I
tried downloading the LOCAL INSTALLATION TOOL and tried running htat and
received an error message as well.

Help

The equivalent decimal value for that code is 1935.
Try adding that number to your web search. ; )

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926804

(Google web search for
office 1935 error install site:support.microsoft.com
)
