I'm sorry, a quick note about "administrator" rights...
XP is a multi-user operating system. That is, you can create computer
accounts for different people, even multiple accounts for one person. Each
account has seperate desktops, seperate "My Documents" and other such items.
There are also different "types" of computer accounts. Some examples might
be, "Adminstrators", "Power Users", "Users", "Guests". These have differentl
levels of permissions and rights.
The one we concerned with is "Administrators", as a saftey feature, only
Administrators have full access and permissions to install software. The
other "types" have lesser and lesser abilities. I am sure you have seen this
type of descriptions in the Help pages.
There are several ways to organize what accounts and what types are on a
computer, like how many different people use the computer, is there a
network/domain, etc.).
If you know you have administrator rights, I would un-install the two you
found in Add/Remove programs. If you don't know, I'd wait for tomorrow.
