can't install update rollup 1 on windows 2000 with sp4

Hello,

I 'm having problem with machine. I tried to install update rollup 1 , but
still show up on wsus 2.0 and also on client machine. I also tried to
downloaded manually, but still not installing. Anyone has any idea what could
be causing problem? Please response ASAP.

Previous users have found that there are some undocumented and unchecked
prerequisites needed for that update. (Various bits of MSXML for example.)
Search for a thread that I was involved in with poster Dave Hawley for more
details. (You might have to resort to Google Groups to find it since nobody
on the web interface bothers to vote for posts to help extend their retention.)
Alternatively see if the MBSA has been updated since then to help clarify
what you are missing.
