Cant install updates please help

Everytime i click the "windows update" button, it gets to the section where
it says "Checking for the latest version of the Windows Update software..."

and "Depending on your connection speed, this might take a minute. During
this time, you may receive one or more security warnings. Review each
security warning to ensure that the content is signed by Microsoft, and then
click Install or Yes to install the software."

But it doesn't do anything else no matter how long i leave it, can anyone
help?

I also have this same problem neither automatic or the web site works it just
does nothing someone plz help cause i have no updates at all and fear my
computer may be getting infected even though i have nortons and spyware and
adware removers. i need the updates if anyone has a solution e-mail me

When searching for available updates on the Windows Update site, you see the
0x8007043B error
This error may occur if the WUAUSERV and BITS services are not configured properly in
the registry.

Try registering the following:

Click Start, select Run and type (pressing enter after each one and wait for the
success message):

net.exe stop wuauserv
Press Ok

Repeat for the following:
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
regsvr32 atl.dll

net.exe start wuauserv
