I'm attempting to setup a Window Server 2008 Server to host virtual
machines. I'm encountering the issue below in clean install of both
Enterprise X64 and Enterprise X64 R2.

The install will go fine and I join the machine to our domain, ping other
machine to verify network connectivity, but when I try to install an update
in this KB950050 so I can setup Hyper-V I get the following error

Installer encountered an error: 0x80070002
The system cannot find the file specified.

The only information I could find on this issue was this from Microsoft
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336

The problem is Server core doesn't have an Automatic Updates service so
instead I used the Windows Update service instead.

the command I using is wusa.exe Windows.60-KB950050-x64.msu

Any idea's?

Thanks,

You receive a "0x80070002" or "0x80070003" error code after you download an
update from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or from Windows Server
Update Services

I figured it out. I'd never run the command before and thought it worked in
the same idea as linux where it would get the the update from the web.

Once I figured it out I had to download it first, and then point the command
to the local file it worked great.

Thanks,
