Can't install updates to XP

The patches appear to download successfully, but they don't install. The
attempted installations don't get recorded in the history. However I
followed some instructions to view the log, and here are the last few lines.

Try doing one update at a time so you know what is going on.

Try using AU in full prompt mode instead of WU.

BTW what is your objective? You might find it easier getting
the XPsp2 CD and starting with that.

If you need more help it may be necessary to know what your
current maintenance level is at (e.g. to understand all those
superseded cases). You could use the MBSA to generate
a report about what it thinks you have and what is missing.
