Can't install VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapte

I do not know if anybody have similar problem with "VIA Rhine II Fast
Ethernet Adapter" update. But maybe someone will be able to help me.
From my automatic update I have information that new update is ready. Then
after I download it I can't install. Always get message that windows was
unable to install above update. So I am stuck with this one. Can't install it
or just skip this update so I could recive any furthers???

I installed VIA rhine ethenet adapter and after that my internet quit
working. I had to reinstall windows and I skipped the adapter installation
and it is working fine. Windows finds the VIA adapter. I will stick with the
window adapter and forget about the update.
