I can't install Service Pack 2 for Win XP Home Edition; the installer goes
through backing up files and the registry, then 'Creating restore point',
then it stops and gives me the error message:

"Service Pack 2 Setup Error

Failed to install catalog files.
Select 'OK' to undo the changes that have been made."

followed by

"Service Pack 2 installation did not complete.
Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly."

I've worked through the suggestions on the Knowledge Base article
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;822798 but have had
no joy. Any suggestions?

Thanks

-Pete
