I tried turning off all the security programs and still no go. Also

Greetings Jerboc,

There's a lot of possible reasons for this happening, I haven't fully compiled some adequate
answers yet, but if you're looking for a quick workaround, just download and run the
following two MSI files to get Messenger up and working:

Windows Live Communications Platform:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/red...c/contacts.asp

Messenger 2009:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/redir/w3rc/wlm.asp

After this you'll find Messenger on the start menu under the Windows Live folder.

Tried what you suggested Jonathan but that didnt work so i figured it
has something to do with the 8007000B error code on windows update so i
fixed that first and got live messenger installed .

Thanks
