Can't install XP SP1 or SP2

When I download the n/w install file, I get an error 'file is corrupt' when
it tries to extract the files. If I use Windows Update, the install fails,
and Windows will not even start in Safe Mode. Now, Windows Update site
freezes my Internet Explorer.

Download on a different computer and burn to CD.
