Can't I Just Backup the Selected Folder???

In Vista Ultimate, I open the Backup Status and Configuration windows and
set a backup. But by default it backups the whole disk, and I needn't to do
that.

So, I wonder can I just backup the selected folder? Cause I don't have so
much space for the whole drive backup.

Thanks~~~~~

Hi Windy,

If it is only a few folders, you might consider manually backing them
up.

Vista does have a backup option for selected folders. Take a look at
these to see if it may be what you can use instead.

Restore:

Thanks very much, brink~~~

I've read the two links you gave me in detail, but I'm afraid that it seems
there is no information about how to backup the selected folder.

Could you please give me more details to do that? Please~~~~

Windy,

My mistake. It's only good for backing up certain type of files. For
backing up a particular folder itself, you are pretty much left with
having to do copy it manually to the backup location without using some
3rd party program.

Sorry,
Shawn

When I want to manually back up an individual file or folder, I use SyncToy,
very convenient. Have a look at:
