Can't log in when anybody send me offline messages

Recently it occured a quite strange problem to my Windows Live 8.5: as soon
as anyone send me an offline message it popups a window "Impossible starting
a conversation with NAME CONTACT. Please try later" (Original message in
italian: Impossibile avviare una conversazione con NAME CONTACT. Puoi
riprovare in seguto.) with "ok" buttom.The window appears before I log in and
if I press "ok" it cannot log in anyway. It's driving me crazy... what
should I do??

Does this still occur after upgrading to the latest beta version of WL
Messenger client?
