now when it restarts the logon screen comes up and i cant logon due to a
password has been set....

i tryed going in in safemode also and a opassword has also been set on the
admin account....

i see other posts about this too and all my freinds are having the same

Place your cursor in the password box and while it
is blinking, press your Tab key to tab through the box,
then press the Enter key.

You can use the following steps to enable automatic logon:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type: control userpasswords2 , and then click OK.
3. In the dialog box that appears, clear the "Users must enter a user name
and password to use this computer" check box, and then click OK.

updating passwords have been set on both accound making it impossible to
logon..

a few other freinds have reported the same problem after updating recently

Which Windows operating system are you using?
Windows Update does not install any passwords
for any Windows operating system.

Oh no another KB885835 'command length incorrect' error that the MVPs
pretend never to have heard of.

Have a look at http://www.askmarvin.ca/forums/index.php?showtopic=3280 and
see if that is the problem you have. If so don't waste your time with the
likes of Carey but restore your system. So far it's the only reported fix
that seems to work. Never download Update KB885835 again.

Hope this works
John (another victim of KB885835)
