I have not been able to open a website address that ends in SWF since I've
switched to Vista. All I get is blank screen. How can I correct this?
example:
http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs13/f/20...alanbecker.swf

Pat,

The link you provide works just fine on all my Vista machines (all SP1 and
mixture of x86 and x64)

Maybe it's my settings? Flash player didn't help.

That is not a solution, also not an option. I've tried Firefox and don't
like it.

add flash and swf application from the adobe labs, which is ironically the
saem as the flash player. Do you have flash player installed? I would
recommend installing Adobe AIR and the shockwave player as well. You will
need to repeat this process for Mozilla-Firefox if you decide to install it
as well. here are some links

http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
http://get.adobe.com/air/?promoid=BUIGQ
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP

If the links do not work, they can be found on adobe site, on the right hand
side of the screen, towards the middle, where the grey box begins. Cant miss
it.

SWF refers to shockwave file format, which is what the shockwave player is
for, but you may as well download the flash and AIR programs as well as you
will undoubtedly need them in todays media rich web environment. If you have
any problems feel free to email me directly.

You might like it better when you find out it works :-)

I have the same issue that you have. I can view Flash almost
everywhere, but I can't see the link you posted.

For kicks, tell me if you can view this video:

or this video:
