The newsgroup to which you posted is dedicated to supporting the
Windows Mail program. You will get more help by posting that issue
in the Windows Live Mail newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...e.mail.desktop
or via your news reader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...e.mail.desktop

Thanks for the help. I am using Vista and the latest version of Live Mail. I
could follow the instructions you gave expcept that I don't have a Locations
[tab] in the Properties (just a line under the General [tab] describing where
the location is).

I kept the Mail Store on the primary drive (and backed up regularly to the
external backup drive) ... I'll be doing the same for Favourites and Contacts
in future.

Some of the folders have the Location tab, and others don't (i.e. the ones I
need to have it). Can I add a tab somehow?

Ta

I suspect the Mail program simply do not recognise the Contacts folder as the approprite one to go to (the Favorites do not show up on Internet Explorer either - a related issue). I created another User Account and transfered all the data to the appropriate
folders(Favourites and Contacts and Windows Mail). It works like a dream in
the new account. The WLM also worked properly once all this was done.

Ta for that.
