Can't perform Windows Update. [Error Number: 0x8DDD0018]

I've checked services for Remote Procedure Call, Event Log, Business
Intelligent Transfer Service and they are all Started.

I still can't turn on my Automatic Updates service(wuauserv). It is giving
the following message when I tried to start it manually.
"Could not start the Automatic Updates service on Local Computer.
Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or
because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

Does someone know what's going on and help me out please. Thanks.

Chances are that you're seeing the affects of a hijackware infection.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

2. Run this online scan (in safe mode w/networking, if need be):

3. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested
logs in an appropriate forum.
