I have WMP 11 on Microsoft XP and I can no longer play live streaming radio
stations. I used to be able to play these stations and since about a month
ago I can no longer do so. I can still play some of these stations by using
Realplayer but not all. When I attempt to play a station, I will see
'connecting to media' at the bottom of the player and it seems to be trying
to connect. But then it goes back to 'ready' and never actually plays. I've
googled and tried to fix the problem by downloading codecs, allowing all the
internet protocols etc. but nothing seems to work.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. It seems I have the same problem, I
can't stream live radio within the web page. I have a feeling external
Codec's might be the problem but maybe one of the MVP's lurking around might
get us both straightened out.

Well it's a little too late for me to check as I re-installed Vista and
everything is back to normal. I'll keep it in mind if it happens again.
Thanks for the reply
