Disconnect the printer from the notebook and uninstall any Epson software in
the Control Panel (Programs & Features).
Get updated drivers from the Epson website and ensure you get the 64 bit
driver package. It's the SECOND one down on the Epson NX400 All in One
Driver page. I cannot link direct for you because the Epson site uses
cookies and my cookies are not on your PC!
Once you've downloaded the drivers, install the package and do NOT connect
the printer to the notebook until the Epson software asks you to do so.
