I can't perform a print screen using my Vista on an HP Pavillion dv6000.
When I paste the Alt + Prt Sc key to Paint, it pastes a blank white page.
Is this a Vista/One Care problem? Or is this a hardware problem. I have
found some questions online asking the same thing.

ALT+PRINTSCREEN usually only captures the current window, while
PRINTSCREEN on it's own captures the entire screen.

Do you get this same "whiteness" if you attempt to capture the entire
screen?

Also, have you tried using the Snipping Tool? ("Start"->"All
Programs"->"Accessories"->"Snipping Tool")

You might try the new Snipping Tool (All Programs, Accessories, Snipping
Tool.) It works amazingly great!

Yes, when I past into Paint using either method it is the same white page
with dashes around it as if I was going to crop it. It goes from the plain
opening white background of Paint to the dashes as if I pasted the dashes
there.

Well shoot, now it doesn't even past the white.

I suggest you try Print Screen Deluxe. It's perfect for capturing
your screen or just certain windows. Extremely easy too. Just hit
the <Print Screen> key.

I use Snag-It... I already had a license so that's what I use.
