I recently installed Vista for the first time and I can't seem to open
a photo Dvd or Cd that was burned under Win XP Pro. Is this a common
problem and is there a workaround?
Thanks for any info.

Hi MEPFEFFE

Have you tried right click on the drive in explorer and selec
"explore" this will sometimes work on disks burnt with xp's UDF forma

Probably its the type of software that was used to burn the data in Windows
XP. Have you tried installing that same program on Vista and try reading the
DVD again?

NO GO, all I get is Auto Run icon and it does not show any files on th
disc
It says current files on the disc (2) and all it shows is auto run an
auto run set up information 48 bits. It seems to me that it is unabl
to read the disc. for any documents or file folders. This is the sam
whether I put in a disc with Word and Excel documents or picture file
saved on the old machine
