I learned that I shouldn't have upgraded to 4.1. I've tried Raj's tips to
delete the two dll files, but I'm still having trouble. (See related note:
"ActiveSync 4.1 on Two Computers".

It appears that Activesync installed but when I click on the program icon it
doesn't launch. It doesn't help even if I've connected my PPC.

The problem is on my Windows 2000 machine. I was able to successfully
reinstall on my Windows XP machine.

Are there more files that I should be deleting?

Hi,
Did you login as the local administrator when you installed ActiveSync 3.x?

Although I did an uninstall, I found that the ActiveSync Files were still on
the harddrive under Program Files. I deleted all of them and then
reinstalled. It worked.

Still having a lot of trouble getting things to sync on both computers. I
seem to be in an infinite loop of sync'ing between the two although I'm
changing nothing.

Hi,
Is the system prompting you to change the name each time you sync? If so
then choose a unique name that has not been synchronized on both PCs. Also,
you can delete the old partnerships using File - Delete Partnership.
