I've been having a problem with my messenger's 'show what i'm listening to'
which is linked to windows media player. i contacted Windows Live Messenger
Technical Support and they told me to remove the Messenger Music plug-in by:

1. Open Windows Media Player

3. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Plug-ins tab.

4. In the Category section, click Background.

5. Select the Messenger Music plug-in check box, and then click Remove.

6. Click OK.

7. Close Windows Media Player.

but i couldn't click remove. please please tell me how to remove this plug-in.

What specific problem are you having? Generally, removing the plug-in
shouldn't be really necessary; just disabling (unchecking) it will most
likely have the same effect.

If you really want to remove it, then I guess you could rename the file
starting with psmsong in Messenger's program files folder.

Regards
