Can't rename or move new folder

I have Vista home premium 32 bit. I created a new folder on the desktop and
moved some .wav from a mp3 player. Then I tried to remane the folder and I am
not able to because I receive a message that says "destination folder access
denied." This is the first time I am receiving this message. This is my home
computer and I am the administrator. I am also not able to move this new
folder into my documents. Please help.

See if taking ownership of the folder first, then trying to rename it
helps.
