Please define "re-run". Do you mean a Repair Installation; you used an
OEM Recovery Disk; you reformatted and reinstalled XP ?
If the system isn't even a year old, SP2 *should* have already been
included either in the XP CD or the OEM Recovery Disk.
Or, is this a used system that is older than one year ?
The installation logs for SP2 are located in the WINDOWS directory
[folder]. They are named srvcpack.log and setupapi.log.
Check those logs for errors.
