can't save rc1 to specific location

went to download rc1 and it wouldn't let me save it to any location except my
document folder any other drive location I chose it responded by saying I
didn't have rights to that location and suggested the my documents folder,
even though I had just created the folder on the new drive so I had rights.
This was using the download master. The html links only resulted in a 712kb
iso file. I have allowed dm to download the file it says it is finished but
doesn't go away and I can't find the file in the specified location. I now
can't install any programs as it causes a reboot.
