Can't See Favorite Menu Options

I just purchased a Compaq with Vista. When I select Favorits from the
menu bar, all I see is a shadow, no words. All of the other menu
options are working (FIle Edit, View, Tools and Help). Any
suggestions.

Go to Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools. Does the behavior
persist if run "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)"?

Delete the "NoFavorites" registry value if found, in the following registry location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Restrictions

To open the Registry Editor, click Start, type regedit.exe and press {ENTER}
