Can't send can't recieve

Why i can't recieve and can't send e-mails through my windwos mail , it
always gives an error :
Impossible de trouver l'hôte pop3.live.fr. Vérifiez que vous avez entré
correctement le nom du serveur.
Compte : 'pop3.live.fr', Serveur : 'pop3.live.fr', Protocole : POP3, Port :
110, Sécurisé (SSL) : Non, Erreur de socket : 11001, Numéro d'erreur :
0x800CCC0D

You only included the receive error, so I'll address that.
I'm not familiar with the French version of POP Hotmail, but the
US version uses port 995 with SSL rather than port 110 without SSL.
Have a look at

For sending, I recommend using port 587 rather than port 25.

I have the same problem with embarqmail, get SMTP error's but when I set my
SMTP to HTTP1.1 is accepts it but errors out anyway when I try to send and
receive

Fiestave, you need to give us a bit more information.
Did it ever work? Do you get an error message when you try to send
or receive? If so, right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it
into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
If no error message, which mail server are you using?

Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Windows Mail can't handle HTTP mail, but there are alternate methods.
