I can't send or receive email

Last night I stopped being about to get my mail. I get an error message
:Cannot connect to server.
I have contacted the ISP and they think it is Outlook express. They told me
to Delete it and reinstall. I am not really confident in this area and I am
afraid I will lose all my email . Does this sound like a reasonable thing to
do to get my mail? Thanks

I would rather expect that they suggest that you delete the existing email
account in Outlook Express and set up another.

Just remember that you'll need Username, Password, POP3 and SMTP Server
details.
