Cant Sign In - Error 80048831 in WLM v8.1

We are having a problem signing into one of our hotmail accounts in Windows
Live Messenger. After typing in the email address and password, we get an
error message telling us there is a problem with the account which must be
fixed before we can sign in. It doesn't tell us how to fix it or where to go
to fix it!

We can sign into other email accounts in WLM. This particular email address
account won't work on any computer we try it on.

The error message is 80048831.

Can anybody help us access this email addresses account?

It sounds like your password has just expired on that particular account and you need to
reset it.

https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx should guide you through the process of doing
that.

Hello Jonathan

I have the same problem with my account (this is of one friend!).
I follow the link you give, but my mail is so old.. so I really don't
remember my answer.. neither if I choose the correct country. And I dont't
have a alternative mail, so this is the mayor problem

What can I do in those circunstances?
There are something I can do?
