cant sign in to live messenger 2009 8089 worked fine in 8.1

microsoft forced me to upgrade to new live messenger cant sign in at all
error 80004002 tryed every fix i can find online nothing works ,how do i get
version 8.1 back always worked never had a problem.

forgot to add win xp service pack 3 all mircosoft updates installed
