Cant sign in with ln cable connected, but able to with wireless?

Hi i would like some support on my network problem using windows live
messenger 8.1. Sometime ago i bought my laptop with indows vista in it, but i
found out that my messenger could only sign i whilist connected via lan cable
to me router, but not using the in built wireless of my sony vaio. I ten
submitted a form for support regarding this, and a reply came back telling me
to type a long string of words in my command prompt, so it did it and it
worked when i tried to sign it vvia wireless. The problem now is that after i
plugged in the lan cable to speed up my connection and download speed, i cant
seem to sign in to live messenger anymore, and can only use wireless to do
so. Please advice, thank you.

Out of interest, what error code are you seeing when you try via wired?
