I am having mmajpr problems with my XP installation after trying updates and
now I can't turn on or off restore. I get a message saying this is because
retsore has been disabled by " Group Policy".

Please advise a way round this and thanks in advance.

Hi There,

Thanks so far. I'm running windows xp home. I'm also have trouble with some
of my updates not installing and I wonder if this might be related to the
problems I seem to be having. I tried to restall xp again , but for some
reason I can't run the recovery program and mycomputer will not let me read
from my cd drive, tells me that it can't see drive c or something.
