Cant type question marks or slashes

whenever i type a question mark or forward slash on messanger, I get the
letter E (or e) with an accent over it.

You might get a better answer but it sounds like your keyboard is set to a
country that has those keys on their keyboards. Try
StartMenu>ControlPanel>Regional and LanguageOptions and set it to the country
your keyboard was intended to be used in. OR right click the Task Bar (blue
bar at bottom of screen) and select Toolbars>LanguageBar and a little
lettered box will appear to enable you to switch ones you have used before.
