Can't uninstall Messenger

I downloaded Live Messenger 2009 and when I installed it kept getting a
error code, i checked it out on the microsoft website and followed al
the steps but to no avail. So i decided to revert back to the old Liv
Messenger, I "uninstalled" Live Messenger from the Add or Remov
Programs in my control panel and used Rexo Uninstaller to delete th
registry files for Live Messenger yet still when i go to reinstall Liv
it says i have it installed. Am starting to go mad i think as i don'
know what else to do , does anyone have any advice
