Hi NormJohn,

This tutorial will show you how to restore Vista's built-in ZIP
support.

If you look at that website, on the right side of each tutorial page, there
is a box that states which versions the tutorial works on. This fix works on
64bit and 32bit.

Hi SanityorLove,

This tutorial will work for either the 32 bit or 64 bit Vista.

'ZIP file in Vista'

i don't know, i tried doing it from the command line, but saw no change.
so i went to download it, but after i clicked 'merge', i wasn't asked to
run. instead, i got a registry editor warning, telling me that i
basically might mess things up if i decide to go through with it, which
i did anyways. it said it added the registry files successfully, but i
still can't unzip folders. ):

is that the only file you can't unzip. it may be corrupt or software
thinks that it's dangerous ?? What is in the file ????
The software I ask you to download is 100% safe, a lot of XP&vista
users are using it.

no, it isn't just this folder. i've been having this problem for about a
month or so. all of the folders i have been trying to extract from have
contained pictures, short film clips, and mp3s. nothing is corrupt, as
all of these files have been sent from friends.

Do you have a zip folder that you can't open and that is not personal ?
If you can Email it to me with the words ATT/ VR1 as the subject. Also
try to make your own Zip file with different contend and see if you can
open them again
