Can't update error 80070005

Everytime I try to update my computer it says that theres an error. I tried
doing what other peolpe sujested but it doesn't work. I disable and enable
the windows update again and it didn't work. And the suggestion about the
banches file...well I can't find it so theres nothing I can do!!!! can
someone please help me!!!!??

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup.

Assuming WinXP SP2:

Error message when you try to install WinXP SP3: "Access is denied" or
“Service Pack installation did not complete�
