cant update error message 0x800B0004

I installed Mozilla Firefox but i came to
the conclusion my computer was too slow for it.
So i deleted it again and all of a sudden my Java stops working and i cant
even open Outlook properly.
I had to give my pass again to get my mail and it takes a long time to open
outlook. When i open an email in a new window outlook crashes.
things that also stopped working:
- Runescape (a java game)
- Google toolbar
- Norton antivirus
- internet banking (java applet)
- Windows update

I tried re-registering all of the dll files it says on the windows help
pages and everything else i could find but nothing helps

Try System Restore to Date/Time before you installed Firefox:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Otherwise check for damaged/missing system files:
Start/Run
Type "sfc /scannow" ENTER
Follow prompts and have Windows XP CD available.

Follow the Windows Update Checklist:

Perform steps #4 & #18 first, if you still have problems, follow the rest.
