can't update from service pack 1

I have not run any updaes on my computer in a long time. I still have
service pack 1. Went to site to have computer scanned to see what it needed.
Scanned overngiht and would still be scanning. If I try to run the new
update service I get the following error message and it says it can't show
the page I am trying to look at.
Error number: 0x80240036

I am running XP Home 2002 edition with Service Pack 1.

Go to the Microsoft download site and download WindowsXP=KB835935-SP2.exe
(the full SP2 update). (over 200Mb)

Then go to www.autopatcher.com and download their Windows XP update file
dated August. (about 200Mb)

Run the SP2 update before the AutoPatcher update. You will be up-to-date.
