Can't update to sp3

Well as the subject, I can't update. No error code or anything like it, the
installation just stops when its almost done says that it has run into a
problem nothing more then it start geting the backup files and fixing the
system back to old. What can I do? ive tried downloading it and start the
installation and with live update... I dont have any spare cd's but I dont
think its about my installation method or so.

I cant even update the last sp2 update I dont know which update it is since
I am writing this after my fourth fail and I has not rebooted yet but its a
security update to sp2 if that has anything to do with it.
