cant update windows.it keeps hanging up

i had to recover my computer cause it was running slow so i just decided to
recover to see if it would work. now it wont update. it updated 1 time it it
was kb842773. and that is the only time i could get to update. now all it
does it hang up. just freezes. and then i go to safe mode with networking
and try it and get error message Error number: 0x8007043C but since reading
found out why.
