can't update to xp sp2

i've been having several problems when trying to update to sp2, and i've
fixed them by going onto microsoft. this latest problem just said access
denied and then i had to cancel the update. how do i fix it so that i can
update to sp2?

See the " Access Denied " secion here:
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#C...Service_Pack_2

At the very least you'll then have a clue as to which log files to check
and their locations.
Also, *please* read the 'Preparing for installation' section on that page.

ok, i went to the site you gave me, but i'm stuck at the first part. i can't
find either of the logs (Svcpack.log or Setupapi.log), so i'm stuck at that
part.

i also went to this site-
http://forum.aumha.org/viewtopic.php?t=7796&view=next and tried to do what it
said, but i got this message back:
"the system can't find the path specified", so that way doesn't seem to be
working either.
