Hi,

I have a strange problem with missing disk space. I'm running vista 6
with a 750GB (698gb) HD and I've noticed more and more disk spac
vanishing in the last few weeks.

I am missing roughly 25gb, and that figure is growing every time I ru
windirstat. It bothers me that such a huge wad of disk space has jus
disappeared into thin air.

I have checked to see if system restore could be responsible - and i
isn't. I also don't have any manufacturer's recovery data on thi
machine. One puzzling thing - the missing space is roughly about th
size of media I've played over the network, and the vanished space doe
seem to be growing every time I play a big file. Is there any way thi
could be responsible? Does vista cache files over the network and if s
how can I delete them?

If it isn't that, can anyone hazard a guess at what it might be?

Thanks
