I can not burn a cd, it is not detecting the cd burner driver.

Can it read a CD, or is it completely nonfunctional?
Optical drives don't have separate drivers just for writing. The ability to
"burn" is provided by the burn software. If you receive an error message
when you attempt to use the drive, please quote completely.
