CD Drive Problems

I had to replace my CD/DVD/RW drive from an Hitachi I think it was to an LG
GH22. Windows Vista still thinks the old drive is still in there & my
burning software wont recognize anything for doing burn mode operations. The
burning software I use is NTI 7 Gold.
How would one go about getting Vista to update to the new drive?

Hi, Bob,

See if it's still listed in Device Manager. If so, right click it and choose
uninstall.

the other thing may be to find the new drive in my computer, right click it,
select properties and make sure burning is enabled on it.

Thanks for the response guys. Removing it and letting Vista refind it seemed
to do the trick.
