CD/DVD Blank Disk Issue

It appears the format a "Blank Disk" issue when attempting to read a
CD/DVD with files seems to degrade over time.

It clearly is a crappy implementation by Microsoft's Explorer. The
disk is accessible through a Command Prompt and other software; but
not Explorer.

Short of purchasing a full version versus an XP Upgrade has anyone
managed to find a fix this annoying problem?

Peter,

Thanks for the suggestion. That's not the problem on this end. All
three devices are "enabled".

Microsoft has another problem that they have no overcome. It's a
pity.
