Hi All!

I was wondering if anyone else has the problem that i am having.

whenever i eject a CD/DVD from the drive by highlighting it in explorer and
right-clicking then selecting 'Eject' the CD/DVD drive ejects the Disc and
then closes explorer. Is there an option to turn this functionality off or is
it a Bug?

This happens on a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop with Vista Ultimate (32)
installed. The DVD drive is a 'TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D ATA Device'.
Searching for new Driver updates for the DVD Drive informs me that it is
up-to-date.

Cheers,
MM

Meant to add....this only happens if the DVD/CD contents are currently
displayed in the right-hand explorer pane i.e. Windows explorer does not
close if the contents of a folder on the Hardrive are being displayed.

I have the same behavior. I would say that was expected behavior, and by
design. If you don't want Explorer to close, change folders before you
eject. If you push the physical button to eject that happens, too.
