cd/dvd drive not recognized

My cd\dvd drive has stopped working and is not recognized on my computer
anymore. I need some suggestions to my problem as soon as possible.

I had a similar problem a few months back, and it was the ribbon cable.

After installing a cd label program, and then uninstalling I had the same
problem. My CD rom player, was not recognised, Cal bear 66 got it spot on,
but do be careful in the registry.

Hi Cal Bear 66; i did exactly as you suggested and did NOT solve my problem
(cdromdrive seems tohave disappeared) Any other suggestions? Thanks, Jamie

Hi Cal Bear 66; did exaclty as beloew and did NOT solve my problem. Any
other suggestions?

Hey Cal Bear 66 loyal Jets fan here so I was glad to see Pats loose it.
Anyway thanks for all your advice but as usual with some of these computer
problems the drive was actually loosened and all I gad to do was push it back
in harder. LOL I wish these things were more idiot proof. Thanks Again Jamie
