CD-DVD

I could not find similar issue in Microsoft KB. When I insert blank CD-DVD
disc in my Toshiba Satellite P100 Vista Home Premium based computer with
Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850S ATA-Device - machine crashes and gives blue screen
with stop error 0x00000000, 0x00000001, and this crash constantly resumes
till I take disc out. Not blank CDs and DVDs computer reads OK. Multiple
updates of Windows and drivers didn't give me anything. At first there was
yellow exclamation mark near ramdisk controls in device manager, and when
trying to install new driver I got message of error (code 31). But then this
mark disappeared, but burner all the same does not work. Some time ago when I
upgraded my Vista, sign of CD-DVD drive disappered at all, and after browsing
Microsoft KB and deleting upper and lower filters in regedit, this sign
appeared in my computer OK. Maybe these changes in registry somehow
influenced performance of burning? Strange thing is that machine became
selective about blank CDs and DVDs. Some of them it accepts and even burns
perfectly, but when burning process is over, computer crashes again with blue
screen, which informs me I must uninstall new programs (that I have none),
disable shadowing and catching in BIOS (I have updated BIOS till last
version, but it does not help), or contact my administrator. Does anybody has
similar problem? I feel lost.

Did you upgrade your Toshiba from xp or came with vista when you bought it ???\
If you upgrade from xp and you did not deleted Dvd burner then go to Toshiba
website check for your model and I believed there is a update patch for
registry repair. Good luck.

i dont know if this will help you..but this is what happened to me..after a
lot of blood,sweat,tears,,i got this piece of crap,,vista running..i
realized,,that uncle bill gates,,has the os rigged up..so as to
stop,,software and hardware from workinf..it stoped my sony dvd and cd
burner.from working..so i had to go out and buy a new dvd burner with 2007
software,,so they all would work..had to get updated everything..i couldnt
get anything for my vga card..it looks like it only stoped one feature from
working on that.i was lucky..there.what a greedy ass man..to develop
something like this to ripp everyone off..

what is this guy or girl frank,some kind of retard..i know every one on here
says bad things about him,but i have not said one thing bad about the
retard..i show respect to handicaped people..but if he didnt go around acting
and being a retard,he might just learn something.the only vista fix,,sony and
nero offer,,was a 100 mb fix.i didnt want to down load,a program in 50
different languages,,so i bought a dvd burner on sale,at comp usa,it was
cheaper this way then buying the software...by it self..i needed the extra
burner for another computer any way..check the sunday sales,check the box
before you buy,,this one was all 2007,,did you learn something frankie
